Iniya's Story - From Rejection To Redemption

I come from a Gypsy family where people consider us low caste and avoid mingling with us. My ancestors worshipped animals and nature, not knowing the true Creator, Jesus Christ.

When I was 10 years old, a Christian pastor visited our colony and invited us to a Day Camp. Unlike others, he loved and cared for us. At the camp, I learned songs, games, and stories about Jesus. That day, a light entered my heart that no darkness could overcome. I realized that Jesus came not just for the rich or respected—but for the forgotten ones like us. His love broke every barrier of caste, shame, and fear.

Since then, I’ve been attending IBCM camps every year, growing in faith. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Now, I feel blessed to be a Christian and to share His love with others. Next year, I’ll be a camp counsellor, helping other children find the same hope I found in Jesus.
