From Training to Transformation: Equipping Leaders for Impact
How CAMP Brazil prepared one young leader to share the Gospel wherever God leads him

At just 20 years old, Rodrigo Ferreira is already discovering how God can use one season of training to prepare us for the mission ahead.
Rodrigo first encountered CAMP Brazil in 2022, when his church participated in a series of training sessions. At the time, he was already serving as a Sunday School teacher. But in June of that year, he took another step and began leading his own small group for children.
Being trained while actively discipling children became a transformative experience for Rodrigo. Through CAMP, he developed a deeper and more thoughtful understanding of God’s Word while learning how to communicate Scripture in ways that were creative, relational, and interactive.
“I am grateful to God for this mission.”
Equipped for a New Mission Field
This year, Rodrigo began a new chapter of his life as a Medicine student at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). As he enters this new environment, he is already thinking beyond his studies and praying about how God can use him to share the Gospel.
Rodrigo believes the lessons and strategies he received through CAMP have prepared him for this next mission field.
The vision, strategy, and relational approach he learned through CAMP have shaped not only how he serves children, but also how he sees opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel wherever God places him.
Now, his university campus has become a new mission field—and Rodrigo is praying for God’s strategy to reach the people around him.
The Impact Goes Beyond the Camp
Rodrigo’s story reminds us that ministry training is about more than preparing someone for a single program or season. When young leaders are equipped with biblical understanding, practical tools, and a relational approach to ministry, the impact can continue far beyond the children they initially serve.
A small group in a local church became a place where Rodrigo grew as a leader. Today, that same training is influencing how he approaches a completely new environment: a university campus.
The seeds planted through discipleship can grow into new opportunities to share the love of Jesus.
Please pray for Rodrigo as he begins this new chapter and for God to open doors for him to build meaningful relationships, share the Gospel, and make an eternal impact at the Federal University of Ceará.
May God continue to use Rodrigo’s life and the training he received through CAMP Brazil to reach others with the hope and love of Jesus.
