Varun's new Hope

I’m Varun, a 12-year-old boy, and I still remember the first day I stepped into the CCI summer camp. I didn’t know then that one week would change the rest of my life. The camp was filled with laughter, songs, games, and stories — but more than all that, it was where I first met Jesus in a real way.

Every morning, our camp pastor spoke about God’s love, and every evening, our counsellors shared stories that touched my heart. I began to see that Jesus wasn’t just someone in a book — He was alive and loved me deeply. I learned how to pray, how to make good choices, and how to say no to the things that pull me away from Him.

After camp, I started attending the weekly follow-up program at my church. Each Saturday, I grow stronger in my faith, learning how to live like Jesus taught us. My favorite Bible verse is “The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1).

Now, when I look back, I see that the camp was not just a week of fun — it was the beginning of my new life with Jesus. He changed my heart, gave me hope, and showed me the path I want to walk forever.
