Upcoming Fish Fry Fundraiser - Winkler MB

Winkler, MB — Children’s Camps International (CCI) is thrilled to participate in this year’s Fish

Fry fundraiser at Winkler Mennonite Church. Thanks to the hands, participation, and generous hearts of the Winkler community, thousands of children in Southeast Asia, Cambodia, and Brazil will have the opportunity to experience the love of Jesus and grow in faith, even amid the challenges facing the world today.

Through the support of this community, children and families far from home can find hope,

protection, and strength in Jesus. This is a tangible way for our neighbours in Winkler to extend

God’s love across the earth.

The impact of CCI’s work is reflected in recent milestones:

• In 2025, 456,800 children attended Bible camps with a full-year follow-up discipleship

program.

• Southeast Asia: In February 2026, 750 pastors were trained to lead Bible camps,

equipping them to reach tens of thousands of children with the Gospel.

• Cambodia: Pastor Chhai Ra’s story highlights the resilience of families displaced by conflict

between Cambodia and Thailand. Through Bible camps and weekly follow-up programs,

children and families are finding faith, love, and hope in God’s care.

• Brazil: In communities facing scarcity and insecurity, children are learning to trust Jesus as

their Savior, receiving guidance and encouragement that will last a lifetime.

The generosity and involvement of Winkler residents mean that more children than ever will have the chance to encounter Jesus, building resilience and faith that carry them through difficult times.

The Fish Fry fundraiser will take place on April 24, 2026, at Winkler Mennonite Church in Winkler,

Manitoba. This is a by-donation-only, dine-in event, with a menu featuring walleye, coleslaw,

baked potato, fries and desserts. Organizers are hoping to serve 800 to 1,000 people.

Families, neighbours, and members of the media are warmly invited to attend and be part of a

community coming together to make an eternal impact.
