Alisha is a 15-year-old girl who has been attending the camp for the past five years. Before coming to the camp, she was deeply devoted to her traditional family faith and strongly believed in idols and many superstitious practices. She grew up thinking that these rituals and traditions would protect her family and guide her life. Born and raised in a so-called “low caste” family, Alisha often experienced people keeping their distance from her and her family. These experiences made her feel rejected and unworthy, and she carried a quiet pain in her heart for many years.

When Alisha first came to the camp, she was curious but unsure about the message she heard about Jesus. As she continued to attend year after year, listening to the Bible stories, songs, and teachings, her heart slowly began to change. She realized that Jesus is not just another god, but the Creator of everything and the Almighty God who loves every person equally. The message that touched her the most was that Jesus does not look at caste, background, or status, but sees each person as precious and valuable. For the first time in her life, Alisha felt truly accepted and loved.
Today, Alisha boldly declares that Jesus Christ is her Saviour and Lord. The love she experienced transformed not only her life but also her family. Through her testimony and faith, her entire family has begun attending church and learning about the love of Christ. Now Alisha’s heart is filled with a new purpose—to share the love of Jesus with others in her community who may feel rejected or forgotten just as she once did. She is preparing
herself to be a light in her village, believing that the same Jesus who changed her life can bring hope and salvation to many others.
