Rajesh attended our camp in Asia and his life has been changed! Here's Rajesh's story:
"I am Rajesh age 12,
I never attended church or Christian camps in the past.
This is the first time I attend the camp. I like the camp, because I learned lots of good habits and lessons at the camp.
My father is an alcoholic and chain smoker when he comes to home in the evening, he usually comes drunk. Because of this bad habit, every week quarrel and fight between mom and dad. There is no peace or happiness in my mom’s life.
My mom came to know about this Christian camp, she asked me to attend this camp. She knew that this camp teaches good lessons and habits to campers.
All the campers prayed for my dad to give up alcohol addiction. I also started to pray to Jesus to deliver my dad from this habit, I know Jesus will do it for me.
When I grow up I want to be like Jesus, because he loves everybody and cares for others. I want to grow up with Christian friends, because at the camp they teach good habits. My favorite bible verse is: Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law . (Galatians 5:22-23)"
Life-changing stories like Rajesh's are common to children who attend our camps, though no two stories are identical. One common theme, however, is that many of the children first learned about Jesus at camp. Many of our campers come from religions where they taught about gods of destruction. We share with them about our God, who is love; a God who cares for people and wants to have a relationship with us.
